OverviewSnapscale is seeking a highly skilled Healthcare Virtual Assistant to support day-to-day U.S. clinic operations in a remote setup and ensure a seamless patient experience. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and hands-on experience in U.S. healthcare processes. The ideal candidate must have proven expertise in EMR systems, specifically Athena EMR, and the ability to manage multiple clinical and administrative tasks efficiently while working remotely.Key ResponsibilitiesVerify patient benefits and insurance coverage accurately and efficientlyReactivate past patients and maintain engagement through consistent follow-upsHandle inbound calls and assist patients with inquiries professionally and empatheticallyConduct appointment confirmations, reminders, and outbound follow-upsSchedule and reschedule patient appointments using Athena EMRMaintain and update patient records in Athena EMR (required)Perform medical chart scrubbing to ensure accuracy and completeness of patient dataProcess and manage prior authorizations following payer and clinic guidelinesHandle prescription refills in accordance with clinic protocolsAudit laboratory results and follow up on missing or pending reportsSupport monitoring and coordination of clinic workflows in a remote setting, including virtual systems and tools Minimum 6 months to 1 year of hands-on experience with Athena EMR (required)Experience working with US based clinics and/or health insurance providersE --- Source: remoteok - Snapscale Philippines
