Headquarters: San Diego, California URL: https://animalz.co We're looking for a Senior Content Marketer: an exceptional writer with the editorial judgment to own content quality for the customers they serve. This is a writing-first role. About 70% of your time will be spent researching and writing content yourself—work that calls for real research, original thinking, and craft. On the SEO team, that writing is built to perform in search: blog posts, guides, and landing pages that satisfy search intent and still read like something a person wanted to write. Search itself is changing, and this role sits right in the middle of that change. Alongside traditional rankings, you'll help customer content get found and cited by AI search tools like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google's AI Overviews. The rest of your time goes to making sure everything else your accounts publish is just as good as what you write. You'll manage the freelance writers who contribute to your accounts, keep the content calendar on track, review every piece before it reaches the customer, and ensure customer feedback is acted on and remembered. You won't do any of this alone. Every account is served by a small team, and you'll work alongside teammates who own the overall strategy and the customer relationship.
